What the numbers mean

Fabric specifications are full of figures. Here are the ones you will see most in our catalog, in plain language. Exact specifications vary by product and are set to your requirement.

  • 180–350GSM

    Fabric weight

Grams per square metre. Lighter fabrics feel cooler and softer; heavier ones are sturdier and warmer. Catalog coveralls range from 180 to 350 GSM, customised to your requirement.

  • 3/1twill

    Weave

Three yarns over, one under: a dense diagonal weave that stands up to abrasion. Used across our cotton twill workwear, with 2/1 twill for some poly-cotton.

  • 65/35blend

    Fibre mix

65% polyester and 35% cotton gives strength and colour stability. 100% cotton brings natural breathability and a soft hand-feel.

  • 85°Cwash

    Laundering

Cotton workwear is optimised for industrial washes up to 85°C. Poly-cotton blends are washed at 40°C to hold their colour.

  • <2%shrinkage

    Size stability

Sanforized (pre-shrunk) cotton keeps its dimensions after hot washes. The catalog lists under 2% for the Technical Hybrid Maintenance Coverall, MT-CA-03.

  • 50mmtape

    Reflective trim

Our high-visibility range uses 50 mm reflective tape for day and night visibility.
